Yeah man, you should be able to change/add avatars by clicking "User CP" on the top right of the screen(right above the post reply tab). Next look under "settings and options" on the left hand side and you will see the "edit avatar" button, hit that and you will be prompted to either load one from your computer or enter the URL of your avatar.
